General Safety Measures

  ✓  Before any operation of the charger,please read the equipment manual carefully.
  X  DO NOT operate the charger if it has received a sharp blow,been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way,take it to the qualified service man.
  X  DO NOT disassemble charger.Have it examined by Chloride service engineer.Incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock or other hazard.
  X  DO NOT operate the charger if it has been kept ideal for long time.First run the thermostat for some time to drive out the moisture and then put it in operation
  ✓  Fix the battery charger to a stable surface
  X  DO NOT put the battery charger near heat source.Make sure the free space around the charger is sufficient to provide adequate ventilation and easy access to cable sockets.Ensure all ventilation ports are not obstructed,to avoid the over heating.
  X  DO NOT pour liquids inside the case.Protect the battery charger from ingress of water.
  ✓  Verify that the available supply voltage is matching to the voltage that is stated on the battery charger name plate.
  ✓  Switch off the mains supply & output switch before connecting or disconnecting the links to the battery
  ✓  Verify that the battery to be re-charged corresponds to the voltage stated on the battery chrager name plate
  ✓  In order to avoid voltage drop the output cable diameter must be adequate for the output current
  ✓  Always service the battery charger by an expert,as opening the cover may expose to shocks or other hazards

B) Before starting the job written clearance will be taken From Authorized person (TSL/ TCE).

C) Safety Supervisor will be deputed at site.

D) Skilled technician / workman familiar to the job will Be deputed for the job.

E) Use of Proper safety appliances like safety shoe, Safety helmet, hand gloves, safety belts, safety Goggles, leg guards etc will be used on daily basis.

F) House keeping will be done on daily basis.

G) Barricading of the area at shop floor level by red Safety ribbon and at deep opening area by GI Sheeting. One signalman will be deputed near Barricading area.

H) Daily safe working programme will be made and daily Permit will be obtain from Dept.

E) The driver will be known to TSL safety rules.

D) Gland & socket of required specification will be used and socket will be clamped with proper clamping tools.

E) Only tested & visually inspected tools will be used on job.

F) No job will be done on height by standing on unsafe, insecure & hazardous platform like drum and table etc.

D) Close monitoring & pre commissioning check list to be followed in the tenure of commissioning to avoid unexpected hazard.
